Homograph Task Cards
Looking for an engaging, low-prep way to teach homographs and multiple-meaning words?
These Homograph Task Cards are designed to support students in identifying a single word that fits two different meanings, helping them build a deeper and more flexible understanding of vocabulary.
Rather than matching words to definitions in isolation, students must analyse both meanings, compare them and determine which word applies to both definitions. This encourages careful thinking, strengthens vocabulary knowledge and supports accurate reading comprehension.
